100 Days of Scouting – Day 50: Halfway there

Today I:

  • Continued to line up folks to run “booths” at our May Program Planning Roundtable
  • Added Scouting in Winchester to the list of 100 Days of Scouting blogs to the right (welcome Charles
  • Was asked to join our District “Key 3” meeting next week.  I have either done something wrong or they want more from me.  There is not much left.
  • Tried to start looking through Tiger den meeting plans; ran out of time today

Here we are at Day 50.  We’re halfway through this journey of 100 Days of Scouting.  February 8 seems so long ago and May 18 seems still a ways away; although I am sure it will be here before we know it and probably come quick with all that will be going on around here in the next 50 days (another service project, 4 Webelos den meetings, a pack meeting, 2 pack leaders meetings, 2 district committee meetings, 2 Roundtables, spring break, Easter, spring recruiting, a Tiger den meeting, preparations for our May campout, T-ball, softball – and that’s just what I could think of off the top of my head).

It has been an interesting journey thus far.  I have learned somethings and feel like I have gotten to know some Scouters across the country a little better (virtually).  Hope some feel the same way about me and my neck of the woods.  We’ll see where this community goes come May 19.  For now let’s just keep enjoying the ride.
